We proudly announce: On April 15th WoW Fashion Guru is celebrating 1st anniversary!
When we started this site one year ago, it was casual diversion for small group of people, who shared same goal: can you look good while playing WoW? It came to our attention that we are not alone in our opinion that some ingame items have fashion potential, and that item level and stats are not the only measure how much some item is valued. Today, one year later, we have grown from 60 readers to over a 1.000, with close to 10.000 page hits, and the numbers are growing each day. We never had plan to go “main stream” ,and all we did was for fun and for our readers to have fun. Looking back, we had our share of dry times, but according to the numbers, those days are over. So we prepared special surprise to our readers:
“1st year anniversary WFG Fashion contest”

Ah Gwynnie, you’re a STAR! Most deserved, I’ve been a huge fan of your fab outfits for quite a while, it’s lovely to see some phat lewts coming your way. <3
Grats also to Nadine, Danaire & Brockar. The wicked locations look like half the battle! Wonderful effort all, and thanks to the Guru himself for hosting such a lavish affair. I just wish I had an active account to have a go with!
(PS. Knahs, I know you'll read this eventually, and you're in trouble for not entering – your Halloween outfit would have had a shot!)
And here I was thinking you didn’t enter because you were blue and wouldn’t have matched the outfits
I saw Knahs today in a lovey red plate outfit I wish I could wear
It’s great to see this section, I look forward to what you’ll decide on for the next outfit, priest? Hunter? Only time will tell.
Any way, good job! this was exactly what I had in mind.
Tbh I like Draenei priest starting robe, but as you said it’s matter of opinion. And I do use it on my bank alt
Robe of the Dragon slayer looks AWESOME!
I seriously think that Draenei starting robe looks batter ingame than on screenshots, but I still wouldn’t use it personally. It doesn’t have that appeal like Robe of the Dragon Slaya does, for example. But it could be improved up a bit, with right accessories. I’ll look into it, and when I find all the right stuff, I’ll post an update, I promise
This is great, love the videos, and these two robes are amongst my favourite starter outfits.
I suppose it’ll be a while till the next edition, as no doubt you want to do the love is in the air and lunar festival articles first. Perhaps you should combine the two, to make it easier for yourselves?
Working on “Love is in the air”. There is lot to cover but I’m not giving up
Sory but those 3 d models look lifeless to me. Screenshots are better. Can you make something to show 3 d models on demand only, and use screenshots instead? Kkthnx
I was going to say I think the 3d models are a great idea, though perhaps having a whole model just to show different colours might be a bit much.
Perhaps a happy mix of both, 3d to show the whole item and then screenshot compositions to show the variety.
Ok, thnx for feedback! I’ll try to find option that fits best.
Teh UberAdmin fixed Guru’s mess with 3D models. U haz made request – I can haz fix it. Teh UberAdmin would also like to ask mr. Guru to stop messing with code (as hez code-n00b) and stick to what he does the best; drinking mana pots! Kkthnx!
Post redesigned, revamped and updated. I hope that new concept is pleasing, cause I’d like to use it in future
Thnx for feedback!
Looks great
Hi everyone,
Please pay attention for God sake. Dot.tk is a giant parking scam, they will steal your domain, i bet, please read this article before sign up for dot.tk domains. Click here to read the article.
Is anyone having problems with Internet Explorer loading 3D models? Mine is acting strange on Win7, but on XP works fine :/ . Crome, Firefox and Safari works ok.
I’m surprised you haven’t mentioned [The Vile Fumigator's Mask] http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50741
It makes a nice dominatrix outfit by using The Silver Thread set, The Black Mageweave set or for plate wearers Warrior’s Embrace + Elemental Rockridge Leggings. It drops from the new boss Apothecary Hummel in Shadowfang Keep during Love is in the Air. Took me 4 days to get mine but it dropped 3 times.
If you’re not into the dom thing, it goes great as a mad scientist set esp if you’re an alchemist! You can use Flask of Forest Mojo (check wowhead for similar items) or Flask of Forest Mojo (Ally only).
Would love to hear other ideas on this and I love your site btw
@shockblast – thnx for reminder! Well, in general I tend to write about stuff masses can equip (low level cloth), with few exceptions.. But in this case I agree with you, really cool outfit can be produced around that gas mask!
Ha ha ha .. cmon Mr. Guru it’s not THAT bad
well-used sword is better to look like a SW guard bbut alot of people may have done this quest and didnt choosed the well-used sword or no more have it
