Spotlight: Angaurwen

Today I received really nice email from friend of Blue : Angaurwen After reading it, what surprised me the most were screenshots which, as you will see, provide variety of styles. Angaurwen took it to the next level, and her attention to details  is stunning. So without any further delay, I present you Angaurwen:

If I were to be a vendor in game, I like this set.  I would sell pretty things like flowers and jewellery I think   Note the golden colour of everything involved.  Also good to wear when crafting for people.

I know I know, every man and his dog has this outfit (pun intended) but you just can’t go past that it looks awesome.  If you can’t get into the heroic CoT instance, then just use the regular Haliscan Brimmed Hat from the related quest in Tanaris.  The downside is that you can’t get your coyote spirit from that one.

This one kind of evolved from a mechanic to a farmer to this.  I originally used the vendor bought Russet Hat, however when I finally got the hat from fishing dailies, I decided to use that to save bag space.  Now if only that crab and rat would drop for me…

I’ll be honest, this one was by accident when I acquired Mirren’s Drinking Hat on my Draenei warrior, and I do believe the dreanei model does the hat far more justice, so I attached her pic too.  However I couldn’t just leave such a great outfit on my rarely played alt!  So I quickly found something equally as good on Angaurwen.  This one makes me a think of a sexy woman who hides in the run down part of town with her guard dog, doing shady dealings.

As an officer of my guild sometimes you gotta recruit people in interesting ways.  Once we kited a dragon from CoT to Org bank roof… we got a few new people from it

In my defense, I made this outfit before I saw your article on the Navy   There’s still something I’m not quite happy with about it.  But I can’t fix it till I work out what it is   I use either the White Tickbird Hatchling or Miniwing for this one as they remind me of seagulls.  And an admiral probably wouldn’t have a parrot on his shoulder like a pirate would.  The other option was using one of the cats.  You know, the kind they keep on ships to catch the rats >:D… ooh maybe I should use a rat instead….

I had to throw this one in because it makes me feel like I’m a part of lore   Being an arcane mage, that’s exalted with the Kirin Tor, in the Kirin Tor Garb, in Dalaran, with her Kirin Tor familiar.  It don’t get much more magey than that   Yeah… I’m missing the shoulders (T_T) but they’re still purple!  So they work, ok?

If you’re not a mage and still want to be allied with the Kirin Tor, there are still lots of purple flavour items sold all around Dalaran – such as the Dalaran Nurse’s Gown from the first aid vendor, or the Violet Hat in the cloth store.

Additional thoughts

To close, I just thought I’d throw in a final screenshot which I find amusing at the risk of people laughing at my terrible ui (feel free to crop it if you want).  The day I met Blue, it was because of a funny fashion coincidence of all things.  To explain the conversation, I was originally wearing the Ruby Slippers from Kara, however I took them off so that we could match
