Uniform: Assassin

Uniform: Assassin

ninja-1With current HAT hax present,  and ofc overall rogue popularity in this weeks column I present you; the Assassin! Yes, you are allowed to call him “Fancy Ninja” as well. And even though rogues wear leather, you can equip your character with this gear as they are all cloth. If you cant wear 2H sword, we have nice alternative dagger, so hopefully everything is covered.

As usual, not all items listed in this guide are easy to gather, but that makes it more unique (clone proof), and if you decide to equip your guild (or group of friends) with this gear for some event, more people wearing it in the same place will make it even more attractive.

Enough talk for now, lets turn you into fancy Ninja.. uhm.. the Assassin.

Head piece

So lets start with head piece; nice clean tissue rogue mask: White Bandit Mask.

It is a tailoring item, thought from Pattern: White Bandit Mask which is world drop, so if you don’t have tailor who can craft it, make sure you check AH for it. Hopefully not many people are aware of its value, and its price tag shouldn’t be more than gold or two. Requires Level 38.

Chest piece

After that, we move on to most important part; chest piece Silver-thread Armor. Part of the world drop table, yet if you plan to farm it, Gnomregan would be best place (0.1%) to go for it. My advice is just to be patient on AH. Few gold coins should do it.  Requires Level 26.

Fancy Ninja

Belt

By now you probably figured out that this “fancy Ninja” outfit is part as yet another untypical gear set. There are many of those ingame, all pieces fit together, yet there are no bonuses. Well, there is undocumented one; looking good. Silver-thread Sash yet again part of world drop. If patience is not your virtue, try farming Lake Threshers in Redrige Mountins. Requires Level 22. Ninja ready

Gloves

Silver-thread Gloves , hardly worth farming, part of the world drop. Park your bank alt on AH and make sure you have few gold coins ready to buy out. Requires Level 23.

Pants

Silver-thread Pants, 50 s worth on AH and again hardly worth farming. Requires Level 25.

Boots

Same issue as with Aurora set, all pieces scattered around Azeroth, and all items part of the world drop table. Silver-thread Boots worth few gold on AH. Requires Level 22.

Weapon (2H sword) – primary

If your character can wear 2H sword, than by all means i suggest go and grab Mo’grosh Toothpick dropped by Mo’grosh Ogre in Loch Modan. Requires Level 13.

Ogre on the map

With your level 30+ character, it should be fairly easy to quickly smack down ogres, pick up sword and move on. Drop rate on sword is 2%, so cleaning camp of ogres almost guarantees desirde drop.

Weapon (dagger) – alternative

Ninja-assassinBut if you can’t wear 2H sword, you can probably wear dagger. And this is expensive  (assassin) one; Assassin’s Blade , level 19 twink rogue weapon.  Good thing is the fact that this is assassin’s weapon, and that it is BoE. Bad thing is that it is level 19 blue twink weapon, probably making it really expensive (250+ G). Requires Level 19.

Now here is the list of alternative daggers you can use, looking the same, but problem can be if you plan to equip your low level char, and not your main. But if you are equipping your lvl 60+ char with assassin set, than there is no problems:

Sliverblade Requires Level 32.

Dreadblade Requires Level 42.

Stealthblade Requires Level 44.

Skilled Fighting Blade Requires Level ?? (60). Quest reward from BRD.

Permafrost Dagger Requires Level 67.

Weapon (1H sword) – alternative

One more “fancy Ninja” weapon that you can wear with this set is Skystrider Katana (Requires Level 62). Good thing about it is, that if you can dual wield sword + dagger , you can equip both; this and any of the dagger alternative weapons, making you look as perfect “fancy Ninja”.

Conclusion

Watch out! It's ninja! In this guide I tried to find outfit that will most closely display dark assassin, warrior of the shadows, while keeping in mind that any one out there can equip his favorite toon with this set. Main guideline was Japanese style weapons; Katana (long shord), Bokken (training sword) , Wakizashi (short side sword) and classic ninja appearance.  Yeah you could ask your friends to keep Hallowed Wand – Ninja on you at all times, but don’t you think that is too easy?

If you have any questions or comments feel free to post them up .

And if you already have the “fancy Ninja” set, I would like you to send us action shots so we can post them up. Please send us your ingame screenshots at wowfashionguru(at)googlemail.com. Thank you!
